Several Hawks helped promote WinShape Camps during the foundation’s national recruitment week so students could explore job and leadership opportunities in the ministry field.

Junior youth ministry major Tyler Parham served as a team time leader for WinShape this summer.

“WinShape has given me the opportunity to go out into many communities and share the message of Jesus Christ to hundreds of kids across the southeast,” Parham said.

Parham has grown in other areas throughout his experience working for WinShape. He encourages everyone who is willing to pour themselves into serving at WinShape.

At WinShape, campers participate in a range of activities including rock climbing, athletics, water events, worship and Bible studies on a daily basis throughout their stay.

For those interested in working or attending a WinShape Camp, they should prepare to have the summer of a lifetime. However, the summer of a lifetime goes far beyond just fun in the sun.

According to winshape.org, “WinShape Camps are where thousands of campers come together each year to experience the life-changing, memory-making, adventure-taking awesomeness that will impact their lives forever.”

Parham said the summer experience helped develop him spiritually.

“WinShape has also allowed me to grow in my faith and become a stronger leader,” Par- ham said. “If people are willing to put the time into working for WinShape, it will truly transform your life.”

Senior Christian studies major Nathan Gaydosik worked for WinShape the last two summers, and he said the relationships he built were essential to his growth.

“Relationships are complicated and take time, but WinShape camps provides an environment to foster encouraging, accountable, and inspiring relationships with other young believers,” Gaydosik said.

WinShape Camps was established in Mt. Berry, Ga., in 1985. The camp’s purpose is
to provide an experience for campers that aids in sharpening their character and deepening their relationship with Christ and others.

Today, WinShape Camps has a total of give overnight locations to north Georgia and over 90 day camp locations across the United States.

According to winshae.org, “The WinShape foundation provides meaningful experience and creates connections that develop individuals, strengthen relationships, and expose life-altering hope and truth.”
